Despite having the boon of natural resources, the country of America still suffers with poor rate of GDP and poorer conditions of people within the country. However, the overall impact of natural resources is never determined by the resource endowments alone, rather there always remain a concrete connection between the country’s cultural institutions and the type of natural resources. Often it has been noticed that in the countries where resources can be counted as appropriable, the abundance of resources can be turned out to be problematic, on the other hand, where the resources are less appropriable, the resources can broadly contribute to economic growth and range of economic opportunities within the country.
